Strategic Consulting

Design is grounded in critical problem solving and storytelling, turning ideas into something that can be communicated and executed. We will develop a plan of action to achieve your goals, then work together to create a strategic design entailing analysis and research for a wide range of issues, such as business, organizational, or environmental. From there, we understand how things work today and imagine how they should evolve into the future.

We will take you - the client - and your stakeholders through a process to determine what is - and sometimes isn’t - needed. Our role will be to define the goal and create a design process to achieve it. Our approach combines quantitative data with qualitative feedback, assuring an evidence-based strategic design solution that meets the project goals.

As systematic thinkers, we combine our creative design skills with analytical thinking skills to deliver innovative strategies, engaging you as the client in a process of storytelling that may involve:

  • Kick-off meetings,

  • Interviews,

  • Data analysis and visualization,

  • Storyboarding a narrative,

  • Analysis and research,

  • Cost evaluation and prototyping, and

  • User experience design.

Team members in the strategic design process may include senior management, staff departments or teams, technology specialists, finance specialists, human resources, engineering, real estate specialist, contractors, and vendors. All issues related to the project must be identified, researched, and analyzed. Then a clear goal, mission, and vision emerge in a creative, innovative, and forward-thinking way.

Our work is at the intersection of people, operations, process, finance, technology, and space. We will translate all the information gathered into a clear design goal statement. We accomplish this using soft communication skills - listening, facilitating, negotiating, presenting - important skills for success as a consultant and designer. All parties will approve the final strategy document.

 Documentation may include:

  • Programming data,

  • Adjacency diagrams,

  • Bubble diagrams,

  • Stacking diagrams,

  • Fit Plan,

  • Budget,

  • Schedule, and

  • Document for approval.

Corporate Interior Design

Corporate Interior Design applies to a wide range of industries. Our industry knowledge has been gained through education, experience, and examination.

For interior design projects, we work together with clients to develop goals, a budget, and a schedule. We will then create the design including the concept, plans, details, materials, and furniture to align with the corporations’ goals, aesthetic, and branding standards.

The design process evolves through meetings with a client sponsor team where continual progress is presented and periodic approval is achieved.

The typical process includes four phases:

  • Review of the Strategic Consulting Plan,

  • Concept (or schematic) design,

  • Design development,

  • Creation of construction drawings (plans, elevations, details and specifications).

Project Management

As the Interior Design Project Manager, we oversee the administrative aspects of an interior design project.

The work includes oversight of the entire design process from generating the design team and recruiting consultants, managing the schedule and budget, and holding weekly meetings to ensure that all participants are communicating and creating work on time.

The scope of work may include:

  • Schedule management,

  • Budget and management of costs,

  • Weekly meetings with the stakeholders and contractors,

  • Assigning team members, reviewing bids from general contractors, sub-contractors and vendors to award work,

  • Preparing meeting notes and progress reports for the Project Team regularly throughout the project.

Let’s begin.
